The America Award ceremony, promoted by Italy-USA Foundation, was held in Rome on October 11, 2018, at Italian Parliament, Gruppi Parlamentari Hall. The jury has awarded Piero Antinori, president emeritus Marchesi Antinori, Joe Bastianich, restaurateur, television personality, Marco Bussetti, minister of Education, Valentina Cervi, actress, Alberta Ferretti, fashion designer, Silvio Garattini, president Istituto Mario Negri, George G. Lombardi, president G. Lombardi Real Estate Investments, Federico Marchetti, founder and CEO Yoox Net-A-Porter Group, Bruno Vespa, journalist, Bebe Vio, olympic champion. A special award was conferred in memory of Bud Spencer, actor. The Italy-USA Foundation, in the frame of the America Award, also conferred three medals of the Italian Parliament to three students of American universities: Matthew P. Beckmann, Denise Di Castro, Andrew J. Mixson. The anchorwoman was the journalist Didi Leoni.
